Pack 23 not only has great scouts, it also has great parent volunteers and our Executive Council has unanimously endorsed our new Cubmaster, Mr. Harold Manley.
Mr. Manley’s first order of business was putting together an Event Schedule for 2011-2012. Download it now as it is suitable for posting on your refrigerator!

Pack 23 will continue their battle against hunger at the November 29th pack meeting at Hamagrael Elementary School at 6:45pm. Robert Baker, of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY, will share about his organizations important work, as well as answer questions from the Scouts.
We will participate in the Food Banks “Backpack Program” which aims to provide nutritious food for hungry children in our region for the weekend. EACH DEN SHOULD PLEASE COLLECTIVELY BRING A COMPLETE BAGS WORTH OF ITEMS. EACH BAG WILL CONTAIN BREAD, PEANUT BUTTER, JELLY, JUICE BOXES, CEREAL, SHELF STABLE MILK (one chocolate, one lowfat), CEREAL BARS, TWO POP TOP READY TO EAT ENTREES (EASY MAC, TUNA, CANNED RAVIOLI, ETC), FRESH FRUIT AND VEGETABLES, and COOKIES. Dick’s has donated bags which we will fill with the food. Den Leaders please organize this within your den!
We will be making lunches for the Homeless Action Committee to deliver to needy individuals in Albany thanks to donations from Walmart, CVS, Price Chopper, and McDonalds.
